It may seem obvious, but when designing a pallet rack system the most critical factor is to accurately review all pallet load details.  Without a complete understanding of a company's usage it is impossible to provide an effective, economic, and ultimately safe racking system.  At Zoma DC Solutions we start with a full analysis of a client's inventory while taking into consideration their future needs and projections.  With this data we are able to confidently recommend various pallet storage solutions detailing the advantages & draw-backs of each.

Below is a list of the various pallet racking options currently available to our market.  For a detailed analysis of which approach may be best for your organization please contact us

Selective Rack

  • Most popular style of racking storage
  • Allows for immediate access to all inventory at all times
  • Easily adjustable to meet product or demand needs for Pallet or Hand-Loaded Storage.

Drive-In Rack

  • High-Density Storage Solution
  • Forklift enters the system and sets pallet directly on load rails
  • Static form of storage with the operator responsible for all placement
  • Last In First Out (LIFO)
  • Most economic style of High-Density storage

Push-Back Rack

  • High-Density Storage Solution
  • Dynamic storage where levels are pitched so front pallets are always immediately accessible
  • Greater selectivity and product variance than Drive-In systems
  • Safer & Faster than Drive-In systems
  • Last In Last Out (LIFO)
  • Maximum 6 Pallets Deep

Pallet Flow Rack

  • High-Density Storage System
  • Flow Rails pitched forward allowing gravity to move pallets from loading to picking position
  • Series of brakes throughout system for speed control
  • First In First Out (FIFO)
  • Requires Loading & Picking Aisles
  • Maximum 25 pallets deep

Shuttle System

  • Semi-automatic high density storage system.
  • Can be designed for FIFO or LIFO systems.
  • Ideal for cold storage warehouses
  • Store up to 40 pallets deep

Cantilever Racks

  • Used for storing long length loads such as lumber, pipes, or beams.
  • Center column design creates unlimited horizontal storage space that can be tailored to each client's needs.
  • Wide range of load capacities
  • Vertically adjustable arms in to allow for for maximum versatility.

 Mobile/Compacting Racks

  • High-density pallet storage with compacting rows.
  • Racking installed on mobile bases that slide allow rails embedded in slab.
  • Most commonly used with selective racking, but also alavailable for cantilever or handloaded shelving.
